Tennox Farm House Kilbirnie

Tennox Farm House is in Kilbirnie, in Ayrshire. It’s on a small, private estate with a gate, so it’s quiet. There are only a handful of other houses.

It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom. The rating is 5 Star, which means it's well kitted out. There's a games room, and the garden has a patio with a barbecue.

The owner has a private heritage centre on the estate with a collection of classic cars. You can arrange a tour with them if you’re interested. They also run a hair and beauty clinic about two minutes’ walk away, if you wanted to book any treatments.

It’s a good spot for getting outside. The Ayrshire Coastal Path runs nearby. You can be at the coast or up in the hills quite easily. There’s red squirrels about, and you often see deer. Wildlife is good here.

Culzean Castle is a big local attraction, run by the National Trust for Scotland. Turnberry golf course is also close. The area is Burns country, so there are several related museums and sites if that’s your thing.

You can get to Ayr, which is a proper seaside town, in under half an hour. Glasgow is less than an hour's drive if you want a city day. The ferry to Arran goes from Ardrossan, which is about twenty minutes away.

Facilities are all included: bedding, towels, wifi, parking. There's a washing machine, a cot, and a highchair. It's a luxury property, so everything is in good order. No pets.
