Hafan Dawel
Hafan Dawel is in Stepaside, Pembrokeshire. It's a big, detached house in a cul-de-sac. It sleeps ten, so it's useful for a large family or a few couples sharing. There are six bedrooms and four bathrooms, which helps with the morning queue.
The rating is 5 Star. It's been done up to a high standard. The kitchen is open plan with those big bi-fold doors that open onto a raised patio. The patio is enclosed, which is good if you have kids or dogs. The view from there is over woods.
It's quite a techie house. There's a Sonos system piped around and speakers in the ceiling. The kitchen has a built-in coffee machine. You get the idea.
There are two sea kayaks you can use, and a selection of wetsuits. They're in the shed.
Location wise, you can walk down through the old Heritage Park to Wisemans Bridge. It's about a twenty minute walk. There's a pub right on the beach there. The Pembrokeshire Coast Path is right there, so you can pick it up and walk either way.
Saundersfoot harbour is about ten minutes in the car. Plenty of places to eat there. Tenby is a bit further, maybe twenty minutes. South Beach in Tenby is massive when the tide's out. You can get boats from there to Caldey Island.
If you need a rainy day plan, Oakwood Theme Park, Folly Farm, and the Blue Lagoon swimming place are all within half an hour's drive.
Facilities: it has the usual stuff like a washing machine and dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot, a highchair, and a stairgate if you need them. You can bring up to three dogs. Parking is on the drive.
