Nairn has a good selection of shops and pubs all within an easy walk of the house. Inverness, the Highland capital, Culloden Battlefield, the historic Fort George, Brodie and Cawdor Castles and Loch Ness are all within a short drive and well worth visiting. No trip to this region would be complete with a day spent monster spotting at the loch, so don’t forget your binoculars and camera.
Take a trip along the beautiful Moray coastline with its small fishing villages and unspoilt beaches and you may catch a glimpse of the famous bottlenose dolphins! Lossiemouth is also worth a visit just a few miles to the east with the East Beach Bridge over the River Lossie estuary to stunning East Beach with amazing sand dunes.
A trip along the Moray Malt Whisky Trail is highly recommended, the only one in the world!
Amongst the many activities available in the area is a large variety of watersports, fishing, sea trips, mountain biking and golf, with the town boasting a championship course just a short walk from the house.
