Parkview is a great find in the lovely village of Auldearn near Nairn. It’s a brilliant holiday home for up to four people, but would suit couples and those with a baby or toddler perfectly. The house is a simple layout with two spacious double bedrooms upstairs along with a family bathroom. On the ground floor there’s a kitchen/dining room and good-sized living room. One thing everyone will love are the interiors of Parkview. The owners have done a really amazing, tasteful job with to create a lovely, inviting holiday home. The back garden is full enclosed and has a patio with garden furniture. The views from the garden and inside the house are to the south across the village park, complete with children’s play area, and onto the forest clad hill of Cawdor. Auldearn is an attractive, historic and welcoming village with a great pub, and luckily it’s only a few minutes’ walk away from Parkview.
Nairn is only a few miles away and is well known as a seaside resort with amazing award-winning sandy beaches, two fantastic links golf courses and many cafés, bars and restaurants to visit. Auldearn and Nairn enjoy a micro-climate that results in the area being one of the driest in Scotland, due to a rain shadowing effect of the surrounding Cairngorm Mountains. Beyond the local area there are countless fishing villages to the east along the Moray Firth coastline to explore, including Burghead, Hopeman, Buckie, Cullen, Crovie and iconic Pennan .
To the west, lovely Inverness is only 30 minutes’ away and is the gateway to so many amazing Highland spots, notably Loch Ness, Glen Affric, the Black Isle and of course the start/finish of the NC500 touring route, which takes you to some of the best places in the UK. South from Parkview you can quickly get into the Cairngorms National Park for adventures year-round. Parkview is an excellent base for those wanting to see the Scottish Highlands, but equally those that want convenience, amazing beaches, some lovely local routes to go walking or cycling.
