Glencoe House is a fine period property built in the 19th century that has been cleverly restored to offer fantastic accommodation for up to twelve people. Situated close to the centre of Inverness and near to the mighty River Ness, you can easily walk everywhere in the city. So, the many fine bars, cafés and restaurants of Inverness are only a short stroll away. This is perfect after days out exploring in the Highlands to know you can easily get out in a few minutes to grab food and drink. Glencoe House offers the best of both worlds being so central in Inverness and in the thick of it for the entire Highlands of Scotland. With all roads leading to and from Inverness you can hop in the car and explore a different part of the Highlands each and every day of your holiday. It makes a longer stay particularly attractive, because you have the time to go north, east, south and west, as well as spend time in the city.
The NC500 starts and ends in Inverness and within a day you can get to the far flung corners of the route. To the north, beyond the Black Isle you have a choice of north-east or north-west. John O’Groats is only two and a half hours from Inverness and you will go through many amazing places en route. North-west from the Black Isle is the road to Skye, Applecross, Ullapool and Assynt. East of Inverness you have the Moray Firth and coastal villages to explore. South the Cairngorms National Park await exploration year round. And to the west you have Loch Ness only 15 minutes’ drive away, and beyond an alternative route to Skye as well as the road to Fort William and Ben Nevis.
The owner has finished the house to a high standard. And you’ll be chuffed with your choice as soon as you arrive. On the ground floor it is likely you will enter through the back door upon parking up on the drive. You enter into the kitchen with breakfast area. There’s an adjoining utility area and then the spacious dining room. Also on the ground floor is a large living room, a double bedroom and a bathroom with shower. On the first floor there are three bedrooms, two en-suite kingsize double bedrooms which both have two single beds, and an additional double bedroom. There’s also another bathroom. So in total four bedrooms and four bathrooms. Outside of the property there’s a fantastic garden with courtyard patio area just outside the kitchen. This leads to the driveway and lower lawned area. Across the garden is a summerhouse with two rooms, one houses the hot tub. Glencoe House is an awesome property in Inverness. There are some lovely beaches 15 miles away.
