The property is located near to Chanonry Point which can be seen from the cottage. This is one of the best places in Europe to watch wild bottlenose dolphins from land. The whole area is rich in wildlife including pine marten, buzzard, roe deer, seals and otter, and several bird feeding stations are located in the gardens. The owner who lives on site can advise on the wildlife and on the spectacular walks around the cottages. He is passionate about the local area and wrote the book ‘Moray Firth Dolphins’. Guided workshops are available locally offering guests wildlife hide rental and landscape photography courses. The area is ideal for cycling and walking and is steeped with local history. The nearby villages of Fortrose and Rosemarkie offer a superb selection of public houses serving food and a range of shops providing provisions and gifts. Beach 3 miles by car or a 20-minute walk down the cliff path. Shop, pub and restaurant 2½ miles.
