The Glen offers guests a great level of comfort with spacious living accommodation. The lounge a Smart TV with Netflix, and doors opening on to the garden. The well-equipped open plan kitchen/dining room has a good range of appliances, with French doors leading to the garden and patio area with dining furniture. The sun room has a table and chairs for board games or jigsaws, and there is also space for storing bikes and golf clubs if required. The gardens are enclosed and gated and there is an outside tap for washing muddy equipment.
The Glen is in the perfect location to explore the stunning East Coast of Scotland, with its many beautiful beaches, walks and bike trails. The property is in the centre of Dornoch and is surrounded by gardens, giving it a secluded feel. It is a short walk to the award winning wide open Dornoch beach with its dunes, rock pools and white sands.
Dornoch has a wide range of independent shops, bars, restaurants and cafés. It is renowned for its Championship and Struie golf courses which welcome visitors. Royal Dornoch Golf Club was voted the best golf course in Scotland in 2020. For non golfers there is the History links Museum which illustrates the long history of the Highlands and the small but elegant Carnegie Library.
A short drive away is Loch Fleet, a wildlife and bird nature reserve; Dunrobin Castle with tours and falconry displays; the Falls of Shin with salmon leap, a visitors centre and play park. There is loch, river and sea fishing available in the area, and the nearby town of Tain has a host of shops and supermarkets. The beautiful Black Isle with the quaint village of Cromarty is only a short drive south, with yet more stunning beaches at Rosemarkie and Fortrose. Inverness, the capital of the Highlands, with its magnificent river, amazing coffee shops and an array of restaurants and bars is 50 miles away. There is private parking for 2 cars at the property.
