Glen Dael
The artist owner has made Glen Dael an excellent holiday home in wonderful Dornoch perfect for up to six guests but also ideal for couples. This ground floor accommodation is spacious and delivers exactly what you want. You will find an open plan kitchen/dining room with utility attached that has door to rear garden. There is a comfortable living room where you can watch TV or read your favourite book, as well as three great bedrooms, one with a kingsize bed and hand basin, another with a double bed and lastly a set of two singles. To complete the property a family bathroom with a shower over the bath. The garden wraps around the entire property and is a great space. The garden has been planted for pollinators and they have created a lovely garden for relaxing in with many bird species visiting throughout the year. The garage is open for guests to use to store golf clubs, bikes and water sports equipment.
Set in the historic and characterful village, you can easily walk everywhere with no need of a car. Pubs, cafés, restaurants, independent shops, the world renowned Royal Dornoch Golf Links and of course the long, golden and sandy Dornoch Beach are all within an easy walk. Also important to note that Royal Dornoch is very busy, so do check tee-times in advance. Also do try other outstanding local golf links at Brora, Golspie, Tain and Bonar Bridge. Glen Dael is also very close to Loch Fleet National Nature Reserves and Site of Special Scientific Interest, where you might find a large resident seal community and wildlife and birds.
Glen Dael is ideal for those wanting the best of both worlds in the Northern Highlands. You’re close to all the amenities as well as being in the thick of the Highland scenery. It means Glen Dael is the perfect base for a week or two exploring this astonishing part of the world. Being an hour north of Inverness and just off the NC500 means the vast Northern Highlands is all in reach for exploration.
John O’Groats is under 90 minutes away and so too is the ferry to Orkney. Durness is also within 90 minutes as well as the west coast highlights of Sandwood Bay, Assynt and Ullapool. At the end of each day trip you’ll be itching to get back to Glen Dael to rest and recharge for more adventures.
