There is a wealth of wildlife including many species of birds, and you will often see the stags grazing near the cottage and beside the road. Slightly further afield you can take a trip to the west coast to visit some of the lovely villages including Ullapool, Gairloch, Plockton and the Isle of Skye. Nearer to home is Inverness, the Highland Capital, which boasts a large variety of shops, fine restaurants and theatre. Take a cruise on Loch Ness – a good monster spotting area! Travel along the Moray coastline which has been voted amongst the top 20 in the world’s top coastal destinations where you can visit the quaint villages which are dotted all along the coast. You can enjoy boat trips and hopefully catch sight of the famous pods of dolphins. Take a trip along the Moray Whisky Trail, the only one of its kind in the world, where you can sample some of the finest whiskies in the world.
