Brockhill House is in Mosterton, a quiet village in Dorset. It's a detached house, so no neighbours on the other side of the wall.
It sleeps fourteen people. Six bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's a big, old house so it's full of character, but it's not a luxury hotel. The stairs are normal. There are wood burners in two of the rooms.
The kitchen is a good size for a group. There's a separate utility room with a washing machine. One sitting room has a pool table, the other is more for quiet. The garden is up a short path from the back door. It's got a patio.
The owner runs the pottery next door. If you're interested, you can ask about having a go on the wheel. It's not included, but it's there if you want it.
There's a pub in the village, a few minutes walk. Beaminster is about three miles away. It's a nice little town with shops and cafes.
The Jurassic Coast is about half an hour's drive. West Bay and Lyme Regis are the main spots. You can walk the coast path, look for fossils at Charmouth, or just get fish and chips.
Further afield, you can get to Bridport, Axminster, or even Dorchester within about forty minutes. For walking, the countryside right here is good, or you can drive into the western edges of Dorset National Park.
Facilities: All the bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair. WiFi, TV, dishwasher. You can bring up to three dogs. There's parking on the drive.
