Night Sky Cottage Falstone

Night Sky Cottage is in Falstone. It's up near Kielder Water, in Northumberland National Park. It's a single-storey cottage, so everything's on one level, which is quite handy.

It sleeps four. Two double bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been done up recently, so it's comfortable and clean. The shower is a good power one. There's a wood burner in the living area for the colder nights, and we leave you a bit of wood to start you off.

The main thing here is the location. It's very quiet. The patio looks out towards Kielder Dam. Because there's hardly any light pollution, the night sky is incredible. You can just sit outside and see everything. It's a proper Dark Sky area.

You're right in the forest. There are miles of trails straight from the door for walking or cycling. We've got secure bike storage if you bring them. For the water, Leaplish Waterside Park is close by. They do boat trips on the reservoir. The Kielder Observatory runs stargazing events if you want to book something.

It's about a 45 minute drive to the coast if you fancy a change. Places like Alnwick Castle or Hexham are within an hour for a day out.

Facilities: there's parking, wifi, a dishwasher, and bedding and towels are included. The kitchen has what you need. Sorry, no pets.
