Elm Croft is a detached house in Falstone. It's near the village shop and the pub, maybe a minute's walk.
It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's a 3 Star place, so you've got what you need and it's clean, but don't expect anything fancy. The back garden is enclosed, and there's a gate straight into a little play park. Handy if you've got kids.
We're in the Northumberland National Park, which is a Dark Sky Park. The stars are very clear here on a good night. The Kielder Observatory is up the road if you're into that sort of thing. Kielder Water is about a mile away for walking or cycling. You can get the hop-on, hop-off ferry from Leaplish to see the lake.
The historic town of Hexham is about 40 minutes by car. Bellingham is closer, about nine miles, and has a bank and a few shops.
Inside, there's a wood burner for the evenings, a washing machine, dishwasher, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. We can take two well-behaved dogs. Parking is on the drive.
