Station Cottage is in Falstone, right in Northumberland. It's on what used to be a railway station. Part of it was the old ticket office. You can still see that.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom, all on the ground floor. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well looked after.
The living area is open plan. It's a cosy space. Outside, there's a patio area that used to be the platform. You get some good birdwatching from there.
Falstone has a local pub. It's a short walk. The village is quiet. For shops, you'd need to drive to Bellingham or Hexham.
You're right on the edge of Kielder Water and Forest Park. It's massive. You can walk from the door or drive to different bits. The Kielder Water & Forest Park site has maps and activity info.
If you want to go further, the Northumberland National Park is on your doorstep. The National Park website is good for planning. Hadrian's Wall is about a 30 minute drive away. English Heritage and National Trust have a lot of the forts along it.
For facilities: there's parking, WiFi, a TV, and a washing machine. Bedding is included. We can provide a cot. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
