Station Cottage is in Falstone, which is up in Northumberland, right next to Kielder Water. It's a ground floor place, all on one level. It used to be part of the old station. The living room area was the ticket office, and the patio outside was the railway platform.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well looked after. It's clean and everything works.
Because it's an old station building, the walls are thick. It's quiet. You get a lot of birds on the patio. There's a garden area too.
Falstone has a local pub, The Blackcock Inn. It's a few minutes' walk. They do food.
You're basically on the edge of Kielder Forest here. It's for walking, cycling, star gazing. The lake is right there for sailing or fishing. The Kielder Water & Forest Park site has all the details. For a bigger trip out, the Northumberland National Park is on your doorstep and the park authority site is good for maps.
Inside, there's a washing machine, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding is included. There's a cot if you need it. You can bring one dog. There's parking right outside.
