Knoppingsholme Stable
This is Knoppingsholme Stable in Tarset. It's a converted stable on our working farm. It used to house three big shire horses. It's got an open plan living area with a wood burner to keep you warm.
It sleeps four people in two bedrooms. Both bedrooms have their own ensuite bathroom, so that's handy. The place has a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well-equipped, not sterile.
We're in the North Tyne Valley, inside the Northumberland National Park. The view from the windows is just fields and hills, no houses in sight really. It's very quiet here, on the back road between Bellingham and Kielder.
You can bring one dog. There's a garden that's fully enclosed, which is why it's okay for pets. Parking is right outside the door. We also have an electric vehicle charger.
For facilities, you've got the basics covered: WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them.
In terms of things to do, Kielder Water & Forest Park is about a fifteen minute drive. It's massive, good for walking, cycling, or just a drive around the reservoir. The town of Hexham is roughly half an hour away for bigger shops and the abbey. The National Trust has quite a few places along the coast, like Wallington, which is also about half an hour's drive. If you want to go further, you can be in the Scottish Borders in well under an hour.
This place can be booked together with the other two cottages here on the farm if you've got a bigger group.
