North Star Apartment is in Greenhaugh, right in the Northumberland National Park. It's for two people, one bedroom and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating.
It's detached, with its own entrance. There's a smaller apartment called Little Star next door, and a bigger one called Stargazer above. You wouldn't know anyone else is there, you're completely private. You get a patio area to yourself.
The main thing here is the quiet and the dark skies. There's no street lights, no noise. At night, if it's clear, you can see the stars properly. You can sit out and do that from the patio.
Inside it's open plan. There's a wood burning stove, which is nice in the evening. It's got a dishwasher, WiFi, and parking right outside. All the bedding and towels are there.
You can walk or cycle straight from the door into the park. Kielder Water and Forest is about a 15-minute drive. They've got an observatory there, and you can do watersports or just walk around the reservoir. There are cafes there too.
The villages of Otterburn and Bellingham are a few miles away for a pub or to get supplies. For a day out, you can drive to the coast, or to bits of Hadrian's Wall like Housesteads. The Sill, which is the National Landscape Discovery Centre, is about half an hour away.
