The Waiting Room is in Falstone, Northumberland. It used to be part of Falstone station, so it's on the old platform. You get the garden to yourselves. It looks out over the fields.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's all on one level, which is useful. The bathroom has a freestanding bath.
There's a shop and a pub in the village, a few minutes walk away. The pub does food.
You're right in the Northumberland International Dark Sky Park here. We've left a telescope. Kielder Observatory is about a ten minute drive if you want a proper look. Kielder Water and Forest Park is on your doorstep for walking, cycling, or just a drive around. It's a big area.
For a day out, Hexham is about half an hour by car. It's got the Abbey and a racecourse. The coast, like Bamburgh, is also within a half hour drive. It's a good base if you want to see a bit of everything.
Facilities wise: there's parking, a washing machine, WiFi, and bedding is included. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
