Kirklandbank is a farmhouse just outside Alyth. It's detached. You're on the farm drive itself, so it's quiet. There are fields and the Glenshee hills around you.
The house sleeps ten. Five bedrooms, four bathrooms, two are en-suite. It's a 4 Star, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. The place has old flagstone floors in the hall and original fireplaces. There are two wood burners, one in the lounge and one in the dining room. They're nice to have on in the evening.
It's a working farm. They breed Hebridean sheep. The farm also has a distillery on site, the Highland Wild Boundary Distillery. They make gin and other spirits from plants grown here. You can book a free tour and tasting. It's interesting.
Alyth is a couple of miles away. It's a small town with shops and places to eat. The farm is right on the Cateran Trail, so you can start walking from the door. For mountain biking, you've got Glentress and Dunkeld within about 30 minutes drive. Glenshee is about 25 minutes for skiing in winter.
If you're after a day out, you can get to places like Blair Castle, Scone Palace, or the Pass of Killiecrankie in under half an hour. Dundee is about 40 minutes for the V&A or the Discovery.
For facilities, everything's included: bedding, towels, WiFi, TV. There's a dishwasher, washing machine, highchair and cot. The garden is enclosed. Parking is right there. No pets, sorry.
