Osprey Cottage is on a farm near Ruthven in Perthshire. It's a detached bungalow, so you're over on your own. It's about four miles from the main farm, which gives you a bit more privacy.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathroom. That's handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's bright and clean and looks out over the fields.
The place has underfloor heating, which is nice when it's cold. There's a wood burning stove too. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you're bringing dogs. Speaking of which, you can bring up to two.
You're right on a working farm. You'll see tractors and cattle. The track up to the cottage is a proper farm track, so it's a bit bumpy. That's normal for here. Watch out for pheasants on the road.
There's a shop and a pub in Meigle, about three miles away. The pub does food. For a bigger shop, you'd go to Blairgowrie or Kirriemuir, both about fifteen minutes by car.
You're in the middle of good walking country. Glamis Castle is only ten minutes away if you like that sort of thing. For a day out, Dundee is under half an hour. St Andrews is about forty minutes. You can get to the edge of the Highlands in under an hour.
In the cottage you've got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.
