Bramble Cottage is in Meigle, Perthshire. It's a semi-detached cottage, part of a small row, facing south over farm fields towards the Sidlaw Hills. It's quiet. You can hear birds and not much else.
It sleeps up to four people. Two bedrooms. Both bedrooms have their own en-suite shower room, which is good if there are two couples. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped.
There's a woodburning stove in the living room. We leave logs for you. The garden is enclosed, which is useful if you're bringing dogs. You can have up to two dogs. There's a cot, highchair and stairgate there if you need them.
The nearest shop and pub are in Meigle village, about a mile and a half away. It's a pleasant walk if you don't mind the distance. Alyth is close by for groceries.
If you like golf, there are courses at Alyth and Rosemount nearby. The big ones, St Andrews and Carnoustie, are about an hour's drive. Glenshee is the nearest ski place, just over half an hour away when the roads are clear.
Glamis Castle and Scone Palace are both worth visiting and are less than half an hour by car. Perth is about twenty minutes. Dundee is about half an hour. Edinburgh is reachable in an hour and a quarter if you want a city day. The Cairngorms and Highland gateways like Pitlochry and Blair Atholl are also within an hour.
