The Olde Cottage is in Seabrook, next to Hythe in Kent. It's about a five minute walk to the beach. The walk is along a proper pavement, not a lane.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and everything works, but it's still an old cottage. The stairs are a bit steep and narrow. The doors are low in places, so you'll need to mind your head.
There's a good-sized garden that's fully enclosed, which is useful if you're bringing a dog. We allow one well-behaved pet. There's also a conservatory on the back that's nice and bright.
In Hythe, there's a high street with the usual shops, some cafes, and a few pubs. The Royal Military Canal is there for a flat walk. The beach is shingle. For a sandy beach, you can drive to Folkestone or Sandgate.
The Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway is nearby. It's a small steam train that goes along the coast. Dover Castle and the White Cliffs are about a twenty minute drive. Canterbury is roughly half an hour away, mostly on the motorway.
For walks, the Kent Downs are close. The National Trust has a few properties and bits of coast in the area too.
Facilities: everything's included. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking for one car on the drive. Bedding and towels are provided.
