Cwmberwyn is our place near Hundred House, in Powys. It’s detached and sits in about five acres of its own land, mostly woodland and garden. You’ll have all that to yourselves.
The cottage sleeps six. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It’s got a 4 Star rating. It’s old, so it’s got exposed beams and stone walls. There's a woodburning stove in the lounge. The kitchen has what you need, including a dishwasher.
Being rural, you really do need a car. The nearest shop and pub are in Builth Wells, about a ten minute drive. It’s quiet here. You’ll hear birds, not traffic.
If you want to get out, the Elan Valley is roughly twenty minutes away by car. The reservoirs and walks there are spectacular. The National Trust looks after a lot of it. Offa’s Dyke Path is close by for walking. Llyn Brianne reservoir is a bit further, maybe a forty minute drive, but the scenery is worth it.
Facilities wise: all bedding and towels are included. There's WiFi, a TV, parking right outside, and a cot and highchair if you need them. You can bring up to three dogs. There’s plenty of space for them outside, but the garden isn’t fully enclosed, so that’s something to be aware of.
