Ash Lodge is on a new site called Wilberfoss Lodge Park, over in Barmby Moor. It's one of five lodges they've built. It's detached, so you have your own space.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom with a walk-in shower. It's a four-star place, so everything's in good order. The living area is open plan. There's a kitchen with what you need, a table for two, a sofa and a TV.
Outside, there's a patio area with a private hot tub.
The village of Wilberfoss is a short walk away. It has a shop, a post office, and a pub. There's also a Thai restaurant very close by. There's fishing and golf nearby if that's your thing.
It's about a twenty minute drive into York. You've got the Minster, the Jorvik Viking Centre, and the National Railway Museum there. The park has a bus stop right outside if you don't want to drive.
Further out, within half an hour or so, you can get to places like Burnby Hall Gardens or Sledmere House. The coast at places like Bridlington or Hornsea is about forty minutes’ drive.
Facilities wise, it's all there: parking, washing machine, bedding and towels included. No pets, sorry. The other lodges on site can be booked together if you're coming as a bigger group.
