Hazels Cottage

Hazels Cottage is in Hayton. It's a small village, quiet. The place itself is a converted barn. It sleeps two people, just one bedroom and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and modern.

The main room is open plan, kitchen at one end, sofa at the other. There's a big glass barn door that lets a lot of light in. The owner made some of the furniture, like a wooden table that folds down from the kitchen wall. It's clever.

Outside, you get your own bit. There's a private courtyard with a wall from the original barn. The hot tub is out there. There's also a small lawn at the back. The wider grounds have an orchard you can use, and some chickens.

The village shop is a two minute walk. The pub is just over the road. Pocklington is a short drive away for supermarkets and more places to eat. Burnby Hall Gardens is very close, they have those famous water lilies.

York is about a 20 minute drive. Beverley is about 25 minutes the other way. Both are good for a day out. The Yorkshire Wolds are right on the doorstep if you like walking. There's a cycle track to Beverley from nearby.

For facilities: it's all on the ground floor. There's parking, WiFi, TV, and the bedding and towels are included. No pets. It's set up as a place for two people.

If you're planning walks, the Yorkshire website for the Wolds has maps. For local history, English Heritage and the National Trust have places nearby.
