Hazels Cottage

Hazels Cottage is in Hayton, a village between York and the coast. It's a converted barn for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating.

When you go in, it's all one room. The kitchen's in there. It's country style. The owner made the drop-down table himself. It folds back against the wall which is useful. There's a big, comfortable sofa.

The bedroom is at the back. The bed has a deep mattress. The shower room is ensuite.

Outside, there's a private courtyard with the old barn wall. That's where the hot tub is. There's also a bit of lawn out the back. Behind the cottage is a big orchard, which you share with the other properties here. You can sit there, and there are chickens.

The village shop is two minutes away. The pub is just across the road.

Pocklington is a few minutes drive. It's a market town with shops and cafes. Burnby Hall Gardens is nearby, they have water lilies. The Pocklington Canal is good for a walk.

York is about half an hour's drive. So is Beverley. Both have racecourses. The Yorkshire Wolds are right here for walking and cycling. The coast, like Filey or Bridlington, is about 45 minutes away.
