Orchard Barn
Orchard Barn is in the hamlet of Middleton Priors. We're on a working farm. It's quiet, but Bridgnorth is only about ten minutes away by car for shops and things.
The barn sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's a barn conversion so the ceilings are high and the rooms feel quite spacious. The whole ground floor has underfloor heating, which is good in winter. All the beds are handmade, which is a bit unusual. My other half makes them.
The garden is enclosed, so it's safe for kids and dogs. There's a dining dome out there, which is handy if it's drizzling but you still want to be outside. You can bring one well-behaved dog. There's parking right outside and an electric vehicle charger.
Bridgnorth is the nearest proper town. It's got a nice high street and the cliff railway down to the river. The Severn Valley Railway station is there too if you fancy a steam train ride. Ironbridge Gorge is about half an hour's drive. That's the UNESCO site with all the museums about the industrial revolution.
For walking, you're right on the edge of the Shropshire Hills. The Shropshire Hills AONB website has good route ideas. There are a few National Trust places within a reasonable drive, like Croft Castle.
We've got WiFi, a smart TV, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's a highchair if you need one.
