Lodge 5 is just outside Oldbury, in a little group of lodges. It's detached, so you're not sharing any walls. You're on one floor, which is handy.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms and has one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which is good and means it's well equipped. It's clean and tidy, but it's not a hotel. It's more like a well-kept holiday home.
The main room is open plan. The kitchen's at one end, the dining table and living area in the middle. The TV's there. The patio doors open straight out onto a decked balcony. You can sit out there with a coffee in the morning.
For facilities, you've got WiFi, a dishwasher, a washing machine, and parking right outside. All the bedding and towels are included.
It's a quiet spot. You're not right in a town, so you'll need a car. Bridgnorth is the closest proper town, about a ten-minute drive. It's got all the usual shops, pubs, and some nice walks along the river. Further afield, you've got loads within a half hour.
Ironbridge and all its museums are about twenty minutes away. Shrewsbury is half an hour, it's a good day out for shopping. The medieval town of Ludlow is lovely, especially for food, and that's about twenty-five minutes. For a walk, the National Trust's Attingham Park is nearby, or you can head into the Shropshire Hills. The Shropshire Hills AONB website has walking ideas.
I should say, it's not suitable for pets. And if you're coming at Christmas, we put a tree up inside. That's about it.
