Kingfisher Cottage

Kingfisher Cottage is in Chelmarsh, near Bridgnorth. It's a detached house on its own plot. It sleeps fourteen people, which is a lot. Six bedrooms, six bathrooms. All of them are en-suite.

It's got a Five Star rating. That means it's well-equipped and comfortable.

The main thing is the view. It looks out over the Chelmarsh Reservoir and the Severn Valley. The garden and patio have that same view. There's a barbecue out there.

Inside, there's a big family kitchen with a glazed dining area. The living room is spacious and has a wood-burning stove. There's also a separate games room. It's set up for big family groups or celebrations.

One bedroom and its bathroom is on the ground floor, which is wheelchair accessible. The other five bedrooms are upstairs.

You're on the edge of the owner's farmland. There are footpaths and cycle routes right from the door. If you're into fishing, you can get a permit for the reservoir or the River Severn.

The local pub and a restaurant are about half a mile away. The nearest shop is in Bridgnorth, about three miles.

Bridgnorth itself is a historic town. The Severn Valley Railway is there. RAF Cosford is a short drive and has a good museum. The Ironbridge Gorge is about ten miles. So are the Long Mynd and Wenlock Edge hills, which are great for walking. The West Midlands Safari Park is about a 30 minute drive.

For facilities, it's got pretty much everything: dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, TV, parking. Bedding and towels are included. It's wheelchair friendly. You can bring up to five dogs.
