Kingfisher Cottage is in Chelmarsh, near Bridgnorth in Shropshire. It's a big, detached house that sleeps fourteen. There are six bedrooms and every one has its own bathroom attached.
The big thing here is the view. The house overlooks the Severn Valley and you can see Chelmarsh Reservoir from the garden. The garden is enclosed and has a patio with a barbecue.
Inside, it's set up for a large group. There's a large kitchen with a dining area that looks out to the garden. The living room is spacious and has a wood-burning stove. There's also a separate games room. One en-suite bedroom is on the ground floor, which is useful. The other five are upstairs.
It's on the owner's farmland, so it's very quiet. There are footpaths and cycle routes right from the door. If you're into fishing, you can arrange to fish on the reservoir or the River Severn.
For things to do, Bridgnorth is the nearest proper town. The Severn Valley Railway is nearby. RAF Cosford is a short drive and has a good museum. The Ironbridge Gorge Museums, the Long Mynd, and Wenlock Edge are all roughly ten miles away. The West Midlands Safari Park is about half an hour’s drive.
In terms of facilities, it's got everything you'd need for a big family group: WiFi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine, highchair, cot, and stairgate. It's wheelchair accessible too. Parking is on site. You can bring up to two dogs.
There's a pub and restaurant about half a mile away. The nearest shop is three miles.
