This is No. 2 Ash Cottage in Six Ashes, Staffordshire. It's one half of a barn that was done up a few years back. It sleeps three, in a single bedroom. Brand new place to book.
The pub next door is called The Six Ashes Inn. That's about 50 yards from the front door. They do food. There's a proper garden at the cottage too, all yours.
It's got a 3 Star rating. Which, as I understand it, means it's good, clean and everything works. It's not a fancy show home.
Bridgnorth is about six miles away. It's a good town to get shopping in or just wander. The two halves of the town are on a cliff. There's a funicular railway that goes between them. The Severn Valley Railway starts there too. That's a nice steam train ride.
Within about half an hour you've got a lot. The National Trust places like Attingham Park and Dudmaston Hall are close by. So is the Ironbridge Gorge Museum. Shrewsbury and Much Wenlock are nice for a day out. The Long Mynd hills are good for walking if you drive over to Church Stretton.
Everything you'd expect is here. Washing machine, TV, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. You can park right outside. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
If you're coming with more people, No. 1 Ash Cottage is identical, next door. You can book both together.
