The Rookery

The Rookery is in Chelmarsh, near Bridgnorth. It sleeps twenty people. There are nine bedrooms and, because they're all en-suite, nine bathrooms. It's a 5 Star property, which basically means it's well-finished and comfortable.

It's a detached house set in our farmland. The main living room is big, with a large dining area off it. There's a separate games room with a pool table and things like that. All the bedrooms are upstairs except for one on the ground floor.

Outside, there's an enclosed garden and patio with a barbecue. The view looks out over Chelmarsh Reservoir. You can fish on the reservoir if you have a license. Footpaths and bridleways start right from the property.

The local pub is about half a mile away. It serves food. The nearest shop is in Bridgnorth, about three miles.

For days out, Bridgnorth is a good start. The Severn Valley Railway has its terminus there. RAF Cosford is about a twenty-minute drive and has a fantastic free museum. The Ironbridge Gorge museums are within half an hour. For walking, the Long Mynd and Wenlock Edge are both about ten miles away.

Facilities: there's parking for several cars, a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and a cot and highchair. We allow up to five well-behaved dogs.
