The Rookery is a big detached house near Chelmarsh Reservoir. It sleeps up to 20 people. There are nine bedrooms, and they all have their own bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating, which basically means it's in good order and well-maintained.
The main living room is large, and there's a separate dining area for big groups. There's also a games room if you need to keep people entertained. The kitchen is a proper family size. Outside, there's an enclosed garden and patio with a BBQ. You get views over the reservoir from there.
It's on the owners' farmland. You can walk straight out onto footpaths and bridleways. Guests can fish on Chelmarsh Reservoir, and there's fishing on the River Severn too.
The local pub is about half a mile away. They do food. The nearest shop is three miles off in Bridgnorth. Bridgnorth's an interesting old town. The Severn Valley Railway runs from there. It's a steam railway, good for a day out if you like trains.
Within about a 30 minute drive, you've got the Ironbridge Gorge Museum, which is a world heritage site. The Shropshire Hills, like the Long Mynd and Wenlock Edge, are about ten miles away for walks. RAF Cosford is close by, they have a good aviation museum. For something different, the West Midlands Safari Park is a decent outing for families.
Practical stuff: we allow up to three well-behaved dogs. There's parking on site. We include all bedding and towels. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, cot, highchair, and stairgate available. The WiFi works.
