Astbury Falls Luxury Retreat
It's called Astbury Falls but honestly, we just call it the lodge. It's in Upper Forge, near Bridgnorth in Shropshire. It's detached and all on one level, which makes it easy if stairs are a problem.
It's a 4 Star place, sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own shower room. One double bed, one twin. The main room is all open, so the kitchen, dining and living area are together. Patio doors go out onto a decked balcony. It's peaceful. You look out at trees and fields.
Bridgnorth's about a ten minute drive. It's got the usual shops and pubs. The Severn Valley Railway is there if you like steam trains. Ironbridge is maybe twenty minutes away, with all the museums. Attingham Park is near Shrewsbury, which is about half an hour's drive. Ludlow's a bit further, maybe forty minutes, but it's good for a day out if you want a castle and some food.
Around here, it's mainly walking. The Shropshire Hills are right there. The Cleehill and the Mortimer Trail are on the doorstep. You can drive to a golf course. There's fishing locally if you have a license.
The lodge has a dishwasher, WiFi, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. The entrance is step-free. The garden is yours to use.
