The Classroom
The Classroom is just outside Bourton in Shropshire. It’s a converted Victorian schoolhouse, single storey, so everything's on the ground floor. That also means it's got wheelchair access into the main rooms.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. One bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-finished.
The main thing is the space and the views. It's open plan, with big windows looking out over the fields. You get a completely private, enclosed garden with a patio and a hot tub. There's a BBQ there too if you want to use it. It’s very quiet.
The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine. There’s bike storage if you bring cycles. WiFi is included, as is all your bedding and towels.
For local walks, you're right on the edge of the Shropshire Hills. Church Stretton and the Long Mynd are about a 20 minute drive. Ludlow is roughly half an hour – good for food and the castle. Bridgnorth is similar distance, and Shrewsbury is maybe 40 minutes.
If you're after history, places like Haughmond Abbey or Attingham Park run by the National Trust are within easy reach. The Shropshire Hills site has good walking route maps.
No pets, sorry. There's on-site parking right outside.
