Heron Cottage is in Netherton, near Rothbury in Northumberland. It's part of an old farm building that was converted. You get views out over the fields towards the Cheviot Hills.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. The main living area is open plan with a big arched window that lets in a lot of light.
There's parking right outside. The facilities are what you'd expect: WiFi, a washing machine, a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs.
On the site there's a tennis court you can use. The area is good for walking straight from the door. For fishing, the River Coquet is close by.
Rothbury is a few minutes' drive. It's a small town with shops, cafes, and a couple of pubs. Cragside, the National Trust property, is very close. It's worth a visit.
You're on the edge of the Northumberland National Park. The coast, like Alnwick and Alnmouth, is about half an hour away by car. Hadrian's Wall is also within a 30 minute drive for a day out.
