This place is called One. It’s an apartment on the ground floor in Lytham St Anne's.
It’s for two people. One bedroom with an en-suite shower, so everything's on the same level. The rating is 4 Star, which means it's been done up recently. It was all renovated in 2023. It’s clean and straightforward.
It’s good if you have limited mobility. There’s a walk-in shower, and the entrance and parking are wheelchair accessible.
Location is the main thing. You’re about a ten minute walk from the beach and the promenade. There are shops, cafes, and pubs you can walk to. The famous beach huts are down there. St Anne’s Pier is a proper old Victorian pier. It’s just there.
Lytham itself is a short drive or a decent walk down the coast road. It’s a bit quieter, with the windmill and Lytham Hall. The hall has a nice park.
Blackpool is about fifteen minutes in the car. So if you want the Pleasure Beach or the Tower, it’s easy to get to, but you’re not staying in the middle of it.
The Ribble Estuary is right there for birdwatching. For a longer day out, you can drive into the Forest of Bowland in under an hour.
