Excalibur Cottage is in Lytham St Annes, on a regular street about ten minutes' walk from the promenade. It's a semi-detached house. We had it completely redone in 2022, so it’s all new inside.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. The garden is enclosed and private, which is handy if you've got kids or a dog. There's parking for one car off the road.
The park across the road has a children's play area. For a nicer walk, Ashton Gardens is less than a mile away. The beach is sandy and wide. You can walk for miles along the front, past the lake. The statue of Les Dawson is on the seafront.
Lytham itself is the next town along. It's a bit more upmarket, with nice shops and places to eat. Blackpool is in the other direction, about twenty minutes by car. That's where the Tower and the Pleasure Beach are. The tram runs from St Annes into Blackpool if you don't want to drive.
For golf, Royal Lytham & St Annes is very close. There's also a municipal course nearby. If you want to get into the countryside, the Forest of Bowland is about an hour's drive. The Lake District is a bit further, maybe an hour and a half.
In terms of what's here: there's a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. The front door is wheelchair accessible, but there's a small step into the house and the bathroom is upstairs, so it's not fully adapted. Sorry, no pets allowed.
