Beachcomber Corner is on a quiet street in Lytham. It's not right on the front, but you can walk to the centre and the seafront in a few minutes. The house sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. We've just had it done up.
The rating is 4 Star. That means it's comfortable and well-equipped. There's an enclosed terrace garden out the front with a table and chairs. It gets the sun in the morning.
You can take one well-behaved dog. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, wifi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. You can store bikes in the side passage.
Lytham itself is nice. Good cafes, a few independent shops, some decent restaurants. The local pub is about a five-minute walk. The promenade goes all the way from Lytham, through St Annes, and on to Blackpool if you fancy a long walk. For birdwatching, the Ribble Estuary is right there.
Blackpool is about seven miles away if you want the big attractions. The Pleasure Beach, the Tower, all that. It's a straight drive up the coast road.
If you golf, you know about the courses here. Royal Lytham & St Annes is one of them.
For a day out, the Forest of Bowland is lovely, about 40 minutes' drive. The Yorkshire Dales are a bit further, maybe an hour.
