Ivy House
Ivy House is in Fairhaven, on a quiet street. It's a semi-detached house. The neighbours are just normal, and they're quiet. You won't hear much except maybe kids in the gardens over summer.
It's got three bedrooms and two bathrooms, so it sleeps five comfortably. The 4 Star rating means it's well kept, not just basic. Everything works.
The back garden is fully enclosed, which is good if you've got dogs or kids. It's got a patio and a bit of lawn. It's not huge, but it's private.
Fairhaven Lake is five minutes walk. You can walk right around it, or hire a rowing boat. There's a small cafe there and the RSPB discovery centre if you're interested in the birds on the Ribble Estuary. The beach itself is about a fifteen minute walk from the lake.
Lytham is under two miles away. It's got nice pubs and places to eat along the green. St Anne's is about the same distance the other way, with its pier and more beach. Blackpool is about eight miles north if you want the lights and the Pleasure Beach. For a different day out, the Forest of Bowland is about half an hour's drive inland.
The house has a parking space on the drive. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher. WiFi works fine. Bedding and towels are included. We allow up to two well-behaved dogs.
If you golf, there are courses all around here. The closest is probably Fairhaven Golf Club, just down the road.
