The Apple Store is in East Worlington. It's a small village in mid-Devon, very quiet. The cottage is across the yard from our house, but it's detached and you've got your own space. It’s a Grade II listed building, so it's old. We've done it up inside. The ceilings are low and beamed in places, that sort of thing.
It sleeps four people. Two bedrooms, one with a big double bed and one with two singles. There are two bathrooms, which is handy. One's a shower room downstairs by the back door. The other is upstairs.
Everything's on one floor upstairs: kitchen, living area, dining table. It's open plan. The kitchen is new. There's a wood burner but it's electric, just so you know. It gives off a good heat. There's a Smart TV and WiFi.
Outside, there's a gravel area with a table and chairs. It gets the sun in the afternoon. Parking is right there.
The village has a phone box and a post box. That's about it. For a shop or a pub, you need to go to Witheridge, about three miles away. It has a couple of shops and a pub that does food. Lapford is a bit further, maybe fifteen minutes by car. They have a pub there too.
You're right in the middle of Devon here. It's about 45 minutes to Exmoor if you head north. The Two Moors Way walking route passes nearby. Knightshayes house and garden is a 20-minute drive. RHS Rosemoor is about half an hour away.
You're roughly halfway between the north and south coasts. Both are about an hour's drive depending on traffic. Barnstaple or Braunton for the north coast, Exeter or Totnes if you're heading south.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, cot and highchair if you need them. All bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry. It has a 4 Star rating, which means it's well-finished and comfortable.
