The Apple Store is in East Worlington, just opposite our house. It's a detached stone building, Grade II listed.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one with a super kingsize bed and one with twins. There are two bathrooms, one upstairs and a shower room on the ground floor.
The main living space is upstairs. It's open plan: kitchen, dining, and sitting area all in one room under a vaulted, beamed ceiling. It's been refurbished so it's comfortable, with underfloor heating and an electric stove that looks like a wood burner. The stairs are a typical cottage staircase, so they're a bit steep and narrow.
It's a very quiet village. There's a shop and a pub in Witheridge, about two miles away. For a proper day out, you're about halfway between the north and south coasts. Barnstaple and the north Devon beaches are around 50 minutes by car. Dartmoor is about 30 minutes drive to the south. Exmoor is a bit further, maybe 45 minutes to an hour.
If you like walking, the Two Moors Way runs nearby. The National Trust has several properties in the area, like Knightshayes. The Grand Western Canal is good for a flat stroll.
Facilities: there's parking right by the cottage, WiFi, a Smart TV, washing machine, dishwasher. We provide bedding and towels. A cot and highchair are available if you need them. No pets.
