The Horse Gin East Worlington

The Horse Gin is one of two cottages in our old barn on the farm here in East Worlington. It's converted, done in 2019, so it's warm and solid. Underfloor heating, a wood burner. The main room is double height with the original stone and beams. It feels spacious, but it's still a cottage. You get views south from the patio over the fields towards Dartmoor.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both doubles, and each has its own bathroom. That's quite handy. You can bring two dogs. The place is rated 5 Star, which means it's well finished and comfortable.

Outside, you've got your own bit of garden. There's also a landscaped lake on the property that both cottages can use. It has seating and a picnic spot. You can walk around the four acres here.

The village shop and pub in Witheridge is about a three minute drive. They do pizza on Wednesdays and fish and chips on Fridays. There are quite a few good pubs nearby. The Stag Inn at Rackenford is old and cosy, about a quarter of an hour away. For something special, The Masons Arms in Knowstone has a Michelin star. It's ten minutes away on the edge of Exmoor.

For bigger shops, South Molton or Tiverton are within fifteen minutes or so. Barnstaple is about half an hour. The north coast beaches, like Croyde and Woolacombe, are roughly forty minutes in the car. Both Exmoor and Dartmoor are within easy reach for a day out walking.

Facilities are all there. Washing machine, dishwasher, TV, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. Parking is right outside.
