Otter

The Otter is a log cabin on West Middlewick Farm, near Nomansland. It's one of six places here. The cabin sleeps six people, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped.

The main thing is the view. You're on high ground, so you look out over fields. There's an enclosed garden, which is good if you're bringing dogs. You can have two.

Inside, it's open plan. There's a wood burner for cooler evenings. It's not fancy, but it's got what you need: a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included.

It's a working farm. You can often see the cows being milked or collect eggs from the chickens. There's a shop on site selling their own meat and milk. They've also got fishing lakes.

The local pub is about three quarters of a mile away. The nearest proper shop is a bit further, in South Molton, which is about four miles. That's a market town with a weekly farmers' market.

For beaches, you're looking at about an hour's drive. Saunton, Croyde, and Woolacombe are all that way. If you don't want to go that far, Exmoor National Park is closer for walking. The RHS garden at Rosemoor is about 20 minutes away.
