Welcome Cottage
Welcome Cottage is in Puddington, which is a quiet village in Mid-Devon. It's a two bedroom cottage, with one bathroom, and it sleeps four. It's been done up, so it's comfortable inside, with a wood burner and a decent kitchen.
The stairs are quite steep and narrow. It says here they're not suitable for children under nine. I'd agree with that. The windows also open fully, so you'd need to be careful with little ones.
In the village itself, there's not much, but there's a pub that does food about two miles away. You're about nine miles from Tiverton and eight from Crediton for shops.
It's a good spot for getting out. You're about halfway between the north and south coasts, so you can choose. The north coast, like Croyde or Woolacombe for surfing, is about 50 minutes. The south coast, maybe towards Dawlish, is about an hour.
Exmoor National Park is a short drive north. The Two Moors Way passes nearby if you like walking. For a day out, Knightshayes or RHS Rosemoor are close by. There are a lot of National Trust places around here too.
It says it's a 4 Star property, which means it's well-finished. Facilities are all there: WiFi, TV, washing machine, parking. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
