This is Dartmoor lodge. It's a log cabin here on West Middlewick Farm in Nomansland. There are a few other cabins and a bungalow on site. Dartmoor is one of three with an enclosed garden, which is good if you're bringing dogs.
The cabin sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's warm and comfortable. There's a wood burner for cooler evenings. The living area is open plan. It's all on one level, so no stairs to worry about.
The place looks out over fields. You get a patio area with furniture there. It's a working farm, so the views are of countryside and livestock. You can see the cows being milked if you want, and collect eggs from the chickens. There's a farm shop on site selling meat and produce, including milk from the herd.
The farm has its own fishing lakes if you're into that. For a pub, the nearest is about three quarters of a mile away. The local shop is a bit further.
For days out, you're quite central. Tiverton town is a short drive. South Molton has a market and shops. The north Devon beaches, like Woolacombe and Croyde, are about an hour's drive. Both Dartmoor and Exmoor National Parks are within half an hour or so. Local attractions like The Big Sheep or RHS Garden Rosemoor are also in that range.
Facilities: it's got a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if needed. Parking is right outside. It's wheelchair accessible at the entrance. You can bring up to two pets.
