The Oak Stall is one of two cottages we've made in an old barn on our farm. It's in East Worlington, which is countryside, about three miles from the nearest shop and pub.
It was done up in 2019, so everything works properly. It's got underfloor heating and a wood burner for colder days. The main room is open plan and goes up to the roof, so it feels quite spacious. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms, so it sleeps four.
You get your own patio outside. The view looks south over our fields towards Dartmoor. There's a lake in the grounds you can walk to, with some benches.
We allow two dogs. There's parking right outside. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included.
The village of Witheridge is a few minutes' drive. They've got a shop that's open every day, a pub, and a cafe. A pizza van comes on Wednesdays and a fish and chip van on Fridays.
For a day out, Dartmoor is about twenty minutes drive. Exmoor is a bit further, maybe half an hour. The north coast beaches, like Croyde and Woolacombe, are roughly forty minutes by car. Barnstaple has a cinema and a theatre and is about half an hour away.
