The Cart Linhay
The Cart Linhay is in Meshaw. That's a small hamlet near South Molton in Mid Devon. It's a single-storey place, converted from an old cart shed. It's next to our house, but it's completely private.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. Everything's on one level so there are no stairs to worry about.
The kitchen is modern and has everything you'd need, including a dishwasher and a washing machine. There's a TV and WiFi. The garden is enclosed, so it's safe for a dog. You can sit out there and look over the fields.
You're quite remote here. The nearest shop is about three and a half miles away in South Molton. The closest pub and restaurant is four and a half miles. You really need a car.
You can walk straight from the door into the countryside. For bigger days out, Exmoor is about a twenty minute drive. The coast, like Woolacombe or Ilfracombe, is about forty-five minutes. The National Trust Exmoor site is useful for planning. Lynmouth and Lynton are roughly thirty minutes away. Dunster Castle is about forty-five minutes.
What's here: all the bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. One well-behaved dog is welcome. There's a BBQ you can use.
