Cider Barn

Cider Barn is a place we converted from an old barn here on our farm, Park Mill Farm, near Chulmleigh. It's just for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating which means it's comfortable and well-equipped.

The main room is open plan, with the kitchen, dining and living area all together. The ceiling is high and beamed, which looks nice but does mean you need to watch your head in one or two spots if you're tall. There's underfloor heating, so it's warm underfoot. A wood-burning stove is there too if you want it.

Outside, you have your own patio area. You're free to walk around the 20 acres of the farm. There's a river, some woods, and a fishing lake. The fishing on the rivers and the lake is free for guests.

The village of Chulmleigh is less than a mile away. It's a small hilltop place with a few shops and some pubs. There's a play park if that's useful.

For a bigger day out, Dartmoor is about half an hour's drive. The North Devon coast, like Westward Ho! or Instow, is also within 30 minutes. Exeter is roughly 40 minutes away if you need a city. There's a golf and country club called Highbullen about 10 minutes away; they have a pool, tennis and a spa you can pay to use.

In terms of what's here: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, WiFi, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. No pets, I'm afraid.
