The Smithy is one of four cottages on our farm just outside Chulmleigh. It's a converted barn, sleeps four and has two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms.
It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and well-equipped. It's open plan downstairs with a wood burner. The ceilings are high with old beams. The stairs up to the bedrooms are a proper cottage staircase, so they're steep and winding.
You're welcome to walk around our 20 acres. There are fields, woods, and a river. We've got a private fishing lake and you can fish in the rivers too, all included. The river Taw runs through the land.
Chulmleigh village is less than a mile away. It's a small, quiet place on a hill. There are a few pubs that do food, some shops, and a play park for children.
For a day out, Dartmoor and Exmoor are both about half an hour's drive. The north Devon coast, like Westward Ho!, is about 40 minutes. Exeter is roughly 45 minutes away. There's a golf and country club at Highbullen, which is a five-minute drive. They have a pool, tennis, and a spa you can book into.
What's here: the cottage has a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. You can bring one well-behaved dog. There's parking right outside and a private patio garden with a view of the river.
