Lephin Cottage

Lephin Cottage is on Skye, in Glen Dale. This is right out west, by the sea. The cottage looks out over the glen from the front and a croft from the back.

It sleeps four people. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy. It's rated 4 Star, so everything's in good order and it's comfortable.

The path down to the front door is a bit steep, so watch your step if it's wet. The garden is yours to use and it's enclosed.

The kitchen has everything you'd need if you're cooking. If you don't want to cook, Cafe Lephin is a five minute walk away. They do good soups and cakes during the day. For dinner, you'll need to drive into Dunvegan. There are a few places there, like the Old School Restaurant. The famous Three Chimneys restaurant is also a drive away, but you must book that well in advance.

Glendale itself is quiet. There's a black sand beach and Neist Point lighthouse with the cliffs. It's about a fifteen minute drive to Dunvegan for Dunvegan Castle or the Coral Beach. Portree is maybe forty minutes.

For the bigger sights, the Fairy Pools or the Old Man of Storr are about an hour's drive. The Cuillin mountains are the same. You're a bit tucked away here, so you're doing a bit of driving to see things, but it's very peaceful.

The place has wifi, parking, a washing machine, and all your bedding and towels are included. No pets, I'm afraid.
