Lephin Cottage

Lephin Cottage is in Glen Dale, on the Isle of Skye. It's a stand-alone house, built in stone.

It sleeps four. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's a comfortable, well-kept place.

The main living room looks west over the glen. The light changes all day on the hills. The kitchen is at the back and has most things you'd need. The dining room looks onto the croft land behind.

There's an enclosed garden for yourselves. Parking is right next to the house.

The village shop and Café Lephin are a five minute walk. The café does good lunches and baking. For a proper evening meal, you'd drive to Dunvegan. The Old School Restaurant or The Dunvegan Hotel are there. The Three Chimneys is famous, but you really do need to book it months ahead.

For the area: Neist Point lighthouse and the cliffs are about fifteen minutes by car. The beach at Coral Beach near Dunvegan is white shell sand, not coral. Dunvegan Castle is there too, with its gardens. Portree is about half an hour's drive for more shops.

The Fairy Pools and the Old Man of Storr are popular. They are spectacular, but they are also busy. If you want to walk without the crowds, the whole coastline here is good for it. The Scottish Wildlife Trust has information on the local reserve. For general trips, Isle of Skye is a useful site.

Facilities are listed. Wifi works, but it's satellite so it's not super fast. Bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine. No pets allowed.
