Springburn Cottage Glen Dale

Springburn Cottage is a detached house up near Glendale. It's a modern build, designed by an architect. We live nearby, just up the track.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathroom, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating so everything is in good order.

The main thing is the view. You look right out over the glen to The Minch and the islands. It's very quiet up here. You get the garden to yourselves, it's enclosed.

Glendale is a few minutes drive. There are a couple of seasonal cafes and some craft workshops there. The shop is about half a mile away. There's a restaurant about a mile from here, and a pub is seven miles away in Dunvegan.

You can walk straight from the door. The coast is a mile for fishing from the rocks. Neist Point Lighthouse is four miles away, that's worth the drive. For boat trips to see sea eagles or seals, you'd need to book. People also go kayaking and pony trekking on the island.

Dunvegan is about a 15 minute drive. That's where Dunvegan Castle is, and the coral beaches. Portree is the main town, about 45 minutes by car. They've got shops, restaurants, a cinema.

Inside, it's open plan. There's a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking. We can provide a cot and highchair. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
