Lochview is the name of the place. It's in Milovaig, up near Glendale on Skye. It's a white croft house, detached, up a bit of a slope. The main thing is the view. You look right out over Loch Pooltiel towards MacLeod's Tables. It's very quiet.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 3 Star rating, which is accurate. It's clean, warm, and everything works. It's not a show home.
The rooms are bright. There's a wood burning stove. We leave some logs for you to get started. It has a dishwasher and a washing machine. The wifi works, but it's the highlands, so don't expect to stream films on five devices at once.
You're on a small croft. Sheep might be in the next field. The road up is single track with passing places. You get used to it. You'll need to drive to get anywhere.
The famous Three Chimneys restaurant is about ten minutes down the road towards Dunvegan. You need to book that months ahead. There's a good café at Neist Point lighthouse too, about a ten minute drive. The nearest small shop is two miles away in Glendale.
You're well placed for the west side of the island. Neist Point is close for sunset. The road out to Ramasaig and Waterstein is good for walking and seeing sea eagles. For proper climbing, the Cuillin are about a 45 minute drive. For a calmer day, Coral Beach near Dunvegan is lovely.
No pets, sorry. The crofting landlords around here don't allow it. There's parking right outside.
