Waterfall Cottage is in Glen Dale on Skye. It’s a detached stone cottage, sat on the side of a hill. You get there by a rough track, so drive carefully. The view from the garden is good, out over the scattered houses and towards the sea.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, a double and a twin. One bathroom with a bath and shower attachment. It’s a 3 Star place, so it’s clean and comfortable but not luxurious. The stairs are a typical cottage staircase, so they’re a bit steep and narrow.
There’s a wood burning stove in the living room. We leave some logs to get you started. The kitchen has a washing machine and the basics. Bedding and towels are included. There’s a highchair and a travel cot if you need them. The garden is enclosed, with some furniture. The parking is right outside.
You’re well placed here for the west of the island. Neist Point lighthouse is about a 15 minute drive. The road out to it is single track. Dunvegan Castle is roughly half an hour away by car.
For a good walk, the Fairy Pools are about a 25 minute drive. It can get busy. The Quiraing and the Old Man of Storr are both within a 30 minute drive too, but again, they’re popular spots.
