The Birds Nest is a one-bed apartment in Longridge. It's on the first floor, so you go up a flight of stairs to get in. It sleeps two.
It was done up a couple of years ago. Everything works. You get a kitchen area that's open to the living room. The main windows look out over the hills, which is nice. The bedroom has the same view and an en-suite bathroom with a bath and shower.
Outside, there's a private parking space and a small, enclosed garden at the back. It's sunny. There's a table and chairs out there.
Longridge itself is handy. You can walk to shops, a few supermarkets, and plenty of pubs and places to eat. It's a proper town. For walks, you're right on the edge of the Ribble Valley. The Trough of Bowland is about a fifteen-minute drive. You can be in the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty very quickly.
Preston is roughly twenty minutes by car if you need anything bigger. Clitheroe is about half an hour. From there you can go up onto the Yorkshire Dales if you fancy a longer drive.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog. There's bike storage if you need it.
