Five Barred Gate Barn
This is Five Barred Gate Barn, out near Beacon Fell. It used to be an old cattle shed, maybe early 1800s, but it's all done up now. It's detached, so it's just you out there. It's for two people only.
It's got a 4 Star grading. It's comfortable, not huge. Underfloor heating, a wood burner, WiFi. There's one bedroom with the bathroom attached. It's all open plan downstairs.
The garden is enclosed with a patio area. You've got a washing machine, dishwasher, and a BBQ. Parking is right outside.
You're in a hamlet called Whitechapel. It's very quiet, just fields and the fell. The nearest pub is a mile away in Bilsborrow. For a shop or a restaurant you'd drive about three miles to Longridge or Garstang.
If you like walking or cycling, you're right on the edge of the Forest of Bowland. Beacon Fell Country Park is on the doorstep. For a longer day trip, the Ribble Valley and Pendle Hill are about half an hour's drive. The Fylde Coast, so places like Lytham or Blackpool, are around 25 miles.
It's a good spot if you want to explore. The Lake District is under an hour north, and the Yorkshire Dales are maybe an hour and a half east. Lancaster and its castle are 17 miles away.
Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. No pets allowed.
